mp3 of the day: Path Of No Return

I wrote this song in 2003, one of the first to come through my new cubase set up at home. It's currently on the drawing board with the band. I like this version for its spooky hypnotic quality.

Path Of No Return

You, You were a wave of light Coming in every night
On the path of no return On the road to ruin
Before long I was in ways of harm
Far along the path of no return

How did you know about the ways of mankind
How did you know about the things you would find
On my mind

I, I was in no man's land Couldn't understand
You, You were the one I loved from the mountain top
Before long I was in ways of harm
Far along the path of no return

How did you know about the ways of mankind
How did you know about the things you would find
On my mind

The path of no return I had to make my way
Down the tracks of time In the darkest hour
I had to give it up for the one I love
I had to make it work for the one I love
I had to build myself a little buttercup
