mp3 of the day: When You're Sure

A song of winter and purpose and the fear of one's own destiny. I recorded this version with George in 2002. On El Duende's album it comes through as quite an incredible piece of music, here it is sparse like the winter bough. Christian's violin playing is quite lovely on it.

When You're Sure

When you're certain.. it will be time to say
Draw the curtain...it's the ending of the day
And the song sublime...you're looking out it's winter-time
And you're sure

Who's at your door? Why does your curtain fall?

Well I wonder how the time seems to tell
And I hunger for the breaking of the spell
All the trees are shed...the leaves are turning red
And you're sure

Who's at your door? Why does your curtain fall?
Who's at your door? Why does your curtain fall?

Well I wonder how the time seems to run
Cos I blunder between darkness and the sun
Oh the taste is cold... the days are growing old
And you're sure

Who's at your door? Why does your curtain fall?
Who's at your door? Why does your curtain fall?

When you're fully certain.
It will be wintertime.
When the spell is breaking.
And your path leads on to mine.
